St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda: Speaking at the Antigua and Barbuda Red Cross Induction ceremony 2015, yesterday, which was attended by their Excellencies, Governor General Sir Rodney and Lady Williams, the Governor General commended the members of the Association for electing one of the youngest Presidents ever to head the organization.
The Governor General said that both Lady Williams and himself are always delighted when they see organizations under their patronage become actively involved in the life of our country, especially when it results in assistance being provided to the needy.
His Excellency urged the Inductees to be always ready to serve and give of their best in promoting the policies and programs of the Antigua and Barbuda Red Cross.
The Induction ceremony took place Friday 8th May on the Lawn at Government House. Some twenty-five (25) persons were inducted as volunteers and eight (8) as members of the Governing Board and Management Team respectively. Mr. Michael Joseph serves as President of the Association which falls under the patronage of Their Excellencies.
